  1. v0.5 (released August 28, 2018):
  2. - Added a `--depth` flag to control recursion depth when searching for
  3. repositories inside of subdirectories. For example:
  4. - `--depth 0` will never recurse into subdirectories; the provided paths must
  5. be repositories by themselves.
  6. - `--depth 1` will descend one level to look for repositories. This is the
  7. old behavior.
  8. - `--depth 3` will look three levels deep. This is the new default.
  9. - `--depth -1` will recurse indefinitely. This is not recommended.
  10. - Allow gitup to be run directly as a Python module (python -m gitup).
  11. - Fixed an error when updating branches if the upstream is completely unrelated
  12. from the local branch (no common ancestor).
  13. - Fixed error message when fetching from a remote fails.
  14. v0.4.1 (released December 13, 2017):
  15. - Bump dependencies to deal with newer versions of Git.
  16. v0.4 (released January 17, 2017):
  17. - Added a `--prune` flag to delete remote-tracking branches that no longer
  18. exist on their remote after fetching.
  19. - Added a `--bookmark-file` flag to support multiple bookmark config files.
  20. - Added a `--cleanup` flag to remove old bookmarks that don't exist.
  21. - Added an `--exec` flag to run a shell command on all of your repos.
  22. - Added support for shell glob patterns and tilde expansion in bookmark files.
  23. - Cleaned up the bookmark file format, fixing a related Windows bug. The script
  24. will automatically migrate to the new one.
  25. - Fixed a bug related to Python 3 compatibility.
  26. - Fixed Unicode support.
  27. v0.3 (released June 7, 2015):
  28. - Added support for Python 3.
  29. - Fixed behavior on bare repositories.
  30. - Made branch updating code safer in general: only fast-forwardable branches
  31. tracking upstreams are updated. This deprecates `--merge` and `--rebase`.
  32. - Added `--fetch-only` to disable branch updating entirely, if desired.
  33. - Fixed trying to fetch remotes without configured refspecs.
  34. - Miscellaneous fixes and tweaks.
  35. v0.2.4 (released May 23, 2015):
  36. - Follow the XDG Base Directory Specification for the config file.
  37. - Added installation instructions for Homebrew.
  38. v0.2.3 (released March 14, 2015):
  39. - Added support for newer versions of GitPython.
  40. v0.2.2 (released April 27, 2014):
  41. - Fixed an error being raised when HEAD is detached.
  42. v0.2.1 (released April 21, 2014):
  43. - Fixed a bug when handling errors during a fetch.
  44. v0.2 (released April 21, 2014):
  45. - Rewrote backend to use GitPython instead of direct shell calls. Improved
  46. stability and fixed various bugs.
  47. - Use colorama for highlighting instead of ANSI escape codes.
  48. - Added `--current-only`, `--merge`, and `--rebase` options.
  49. v0.1 (released June 7, 2011):
  50. - Initial release.
